What about multiplayer?
Multiplayer performance is the same as with the default aircraft.
I have never flown the real thing, just how accurate is the start up
Accurate enough to train real world pilots, as long as it is set up correctly and a qualified instructor is in control.
When I start a flight I can sometimes hear the engines and all the gauges are running down
This is a problem with the simulator, it always tries to load with the rotors turning if the engines were not fully shut down in the previous flight. If you click on flight/reset flight (or use the shortcut CTRL+;) the cockpit will immediately become cold and dark - shutting off the engine at the end of each flight will prevent this happening the next time you fly.
I tried to start a flight and the battery was already on with all the warning horns going off

At the beginning of a flight, when I switch to the 2d panel some things do not work as they should.
You must start flights in 2d panel view, this loads and configures the required software and gauges. Remember that until the engine is running at 62% N1 changing views or using any other keys or buttons (Such as Q for sound etc.) may interrupt the start cycle. Once the engine is running at idle and the generator is on, you can freely switch views, turn sounds on and off etc.
I was whizzing along quite happily and the engine stopped, what is going on?
If you exceed the engine torque or other limits the engine will fail. This aircraft will not ignore abuse in the way that the default aircraft will.
The flight controls are not responding properly and made me crash
Did you remember to turn the hydraulics on?
Will there be any conflicts with my other third party addons?
No issues have been reported so far.
The product has been tested on computers using 3rd party enhancements such as "trackIR" and "realityXP" with no problems reported. It has been tested in multiplayer using FSNET and functions perfectly in this 2 pilot environment.
I find the FS2004 helicopters impossible to control, can you help?
Most of the problems with flying the FS2004 helicopters can be solved by setting up the simulator options to suit helicopter flight.
There are guidelines in the "installation and setup" section of the manual, for more detailed information and advice we recommend www.hovercontrol.com . The site has information, tutorials and live instructors on their popular server to help with all aspects of helicopter simulation. There are also activities, a very active forum and a display team.
Why is the default realstart flight set in Blackpool?
Because that is where I flew my first Jetranger!
